Commercial Photography

Commercial photography covers more ground than most people expect — and that’s the part I love. I’ve captured everything from; Law school recruitment campaigns shot on location with students. Boardroom headshot days for teams of twenty. Product launches, brand campaigns, editorial portraits, apps in the wild. Every brief is different. Every set gets the same level of preparation and creative direction.
Four galleries, four different kinds of work. Browse and see what resonates with your brief.

Why people choose my studio

Some clients have been booking me for decades. Not because they’re loyal out of habit — because when you find someone who shows up prepared, runs a clean set, and delivers exactly what the brief called for, there’s no reason to look anywhere else.

It works both ways. By the second or third project I already know your brand, your team, your standards. We’ve done the rapport-building. So instead of starting from scratch every time, we get to push further — more creative, more confident, more interesting work.

Here’s what that looks like in practice:

  • Creative direction from brief to final delivery, not just a camera on the day
  • Full pre-production support — locations, studios, hair and makeup, props, styling. If it needs to be sourced or coordinated before shoot day, I handle it. The prep is half the shoot.
  • Efficient on set — your team’s time is respected
  • Nothing left to chance before shoot day
  • On-set direction so everyone looks their best, even the ones who hate having their photo taken
  • Full commercial usage rights, professional retouching, B&W duplicates included as standard
  • A working relationship that gets better — and more creative — every time
My promise to You

Whatever the Brief

Before we ever arrive on set, you’ll already know exactly how the day is going to go.

The discovery call is where I ask the questions most photographers never think to ask — about your audience, your end use, your team, your timeline, and what success actually looks like for this project. I share my approach, we talk through past work, and by the end of it the brief is tight and the plan is clear.

So when shoot day comes, there are no surprises. Just a photographer who already understands your brand, a set that runs efficiently, and images that look exactly like the ones we talked about — and more often than not, better. We walk in with a plan, but the best frames of the day are usually the ones nobody planned for.

getting started

Begins with a conversation.

Book a discovery call and come with your brief — even if it’s half-formed. We’ll talk through the project scope, your timeline, locations, shot list, and any production elements that need coordinating. By the end of it you’ll have a clear picture of the plan, the investment, and what happens next.

No inbox back-and-forth. No guessing. Just a focused conversation that gets us both to a yes faster.

the Investment

Every commercial project is scoped individually — but these starting points will give you a feel for what to plan for. If you’re not sure where your project lands, that’s exactly what the discovery call is for.

2 HOURS — $1,495
The right entry point for focused projects. A product shoot, a team of two or three, a key location, a specific campaign moment. Enough time to do the work properly without unnecessary padding.

HALF DAY — $2,195 (up to 4hrs)
Room to breathe. Multiple locations when necessary, a larger team, or a broader shot list — the half day gives us the flexibility to move through the brief without rushing.

FULL DAY — $3,195 (up to 8hrs)
For the projects that need the full treatment. Multiple locations, large teams, product catalogues, campaign days. A full day means we can work methodically, handle the unexpected, and still capture everything on the brief.

All Sessions Include:

  • Shooting time (as per session)
  • Full pre-production planning
  • Use of in-house props when required
  • Creative direction on set — your AD in your pocket
  • Essential camera and lighting equipment
  • Tethered shooting for product shoots
  • High resolution files with full commercial usage rights
  • B&W duplicates
  • Advanced retouching, on chosen favourites
  • Professional online proofing gallery

A note on deadlines: emergencies are rare in photography — but commercial work is one place they show up. I work to deadlines and take them seriously. I just need to know yours before we begin so we can plan accordingly.

PRODUCTION EXTRAS TO CONSIDER:
Depending on the scope of your project, additional elements can be coordinated and will be itemised in your proposal:

Location rentals / Production assistants / Hair and makeup styling / Video clips (finished, edited, ready to use) / Specialty equipment rentals (as required) / Travel (for projects outside Eastern Ontario)

what the

faq

Yes — and for team shoots that’s usually the right call. I’ll set up a clean studio in your boardroom or meeting space and work through the team efficiently. Unless of course we’re capturing your space as the backdrop, same concept — I come to you. Nobody loses half their day travelling, everyone gets a consistent and polished result.

We map it out in the discovery call. I’ll put together a shoot schedule, keep the day moving, and make sure everyone looks their best — including the ones who’d rather be anywhere else. I’ve worked with teams of two and teams of twenty. The approach is the same: prepared, efficient, no wasted time.

I work to deadlines and take them seriously — I just need to know yours before we begin. Rush turnarounds are possible; flag it early in our conversation and we’ll build the timeline around it from the start.

For the most part, no — that’s part of what you’re hiring me for. I coordinate locations, production assistants, hair and makeup, and any other elements the shoot requires. I’ll get quotes and confirm rates before anything is booked, so there are no surprises on the invoice.

Occasionally I’ll connect you directly with a vendor so you can manage that relationship yourself, but nothing gets confirmed without us talking it through first. If you’re working within a production budget, tell me upfront — I’d rather build a plan that works than surprise you with a proposal that doesn’t.

A clear brief and the right people available on the day. Everything else we work through together in pre-production — locations, shot list, scheduling, any production elements that need coordinating. By shoot day, the plan is already locked.

I take a non-refundable deposit to hold the date and am happy to reschedule with reasonable notice. Life happens — we communicate and work it out.

Every great project starts with a conversation.
Tell me about yours.
